White Buffalo Woman

I had a dream that I was the White Buffalo Woman. I was riding a giant buffalo along a cliff on an open prairie. There was a voice instructing me to perform a ritual and look for a vision.

It felt so wonderful to make her. She just poured through my fingers and showed me what she looked like...Quite magical...

The Buffalo represents "Manifesting Abundance Through Right Action and Right Prayer" according to Animal Speak by Ted Andrews.

George had his own idea of a vision for this photo shoot. He settled in for a snowy spring nap with Buffalo Woman.

I am exploring many alternative options to speed my surgery recovery. Medically induced menopause has proved to be a far greater challenge than I ever imagined. I am striving to balance my hormones, brain chemistry, emotions, and physical healing.

I am constantly surprised that this journey is not more clearly charted or acknowledged by the medical profession. One day, I will write an article or possibly numerous articles relaying my experience...Right now it is taking all of my strength to navigate it. I am so grateful for my art and all of you! I know that White Buffalo Woman is bringing me a message of hope...

I think it's great that you have an avenue to creativity. One that takes you away from your physical problems. I personally cannot relate since menopause didn't affect me all that much. Your White Buffalo Woman is quite stunning and your kitty very cute.

I love this doll and what she represents. I'm going to go back and re-read about White Buffalo. I think White Buffalo brings you a bigger message than hope. Since you were the White Buffalo Woman, I think the message is about the power within you to overcome your physical and mental stress brought on by the surgery. Find your power.

Best Regards, my friend. And I believe that Deb can help you, as she has me.

Love,
Carol

Stunning - I love white buffalo woman and that you dreamt her. Though continual Right Action and Right Prayer is actually a very tough mission. I wish you the best of luck and greatest success!

I'd guess that medially induced menopause is different from straight-forward menopauses and those seem to come in all manner of guises!

One of my alternative health teachers said the main thing to focus on through menopause is clearing the liver as that has the job of detoxing the body.

And for liver cleansing I've always liked the herb Milk Thistle... (your mileage may vary!)

Hi Camilla...wow, white buffalo woman is beautiful and so interesting what she represents! I am always in awe hearing and seeing the process for your dolls...they are amazing. You sure created a sense of your dream with color, texture and symbolism...she's quite magical indeed.

I wish things were better for you! I know she is bringing you a message of hope, but I also wonder if it's not the power within you...as Carol suggested.

All your dolls are a delight to see and I'm so grateful that you take the time to share with us all. George is so sweet and looks very cozy in his photo shoot too!

I hope you have a nice weekend and take good care of yourself, Camilla! XO ~Lisa

Wow! I missed this post in my rush to prepare for Denver... Glad it caught my eye now, at the end of your current post.

It is a very special thing to remember a dream and then "work it"... your way, to make a visual representation of the dream, is very powerful. And by the way, I agree with Carol.

Hugs, Robin
