He immediately hopped into an antique boat that many of my dolls (and bones!) live in in my living room.

George Takes The Spirit House By Storm!

camilla la mer, art dolls, spirit dolls, healing dolls, shaman dolls, process art, bead embroidery, jungian psychology, personal, kittensHe is truly a magical being...fortunately, the angels are tied down!

I stopped by the local, lovely pet supply store for a bag of dog food. Well, I came home with a new kitty. A woman was holding an amazing six month old kitten and visiting with me. Her friend, Ann, who bred the cats was there as well. We talked and I asked how much that breed of cat would cost. He is a Scottish Fold...She said that some sell for as much as $1,000.00. Then she said that she would be happy to give me one as a gift. How could I refuse? I told her that I wanted this kitten's brother. Somehow, I knew that this cat was meant to be with me-sight unseen! She showed up at my house forty minutes later with my beautiful kitten! Thank you for the wonderful gift, Ann!

I named him King George. He loves to crawl into my arms and purr for long periods of time. He likes to give kisses and mark my forehead as well. Truly an honor! He is definitely a healing cat. It feels like he has lived with Frenchy and me always. George and Frenchy actually playfully shared one of Frenchy's balls today!

I am intrigued by the fact that my friend Dot in Australia had just finished making a special kitty doll for me to take with me to the hospital. Thank you Dot! I had no intention of getting a real kitty but in some wonderful way, her kitty manifested in my life! Now I will have two kitties. Which one do you think should come to the hospital with me?

george is adorable! and i just love your spirit boat and spirit house. i have a spirit house but it is tiny! a mouse could fit in it, but not george. maybe a hamster if he did not mind a little squeeze :) i hope george will be good company and a good caretaker when you are getting over your surgery!
(p.s. your house is great! more pictures, please!!) :)

Oh what a beautiful post Camilla!

I love the photo's ; and love the story of how King George came to live with you and Frenchy.

He is a beautiful boy and I am sure he will heal you in many ways with his kitty self.

He looks very at home with your dolls (and in your magnificent spirit house!). Love how kitties can relax everywhere.

And how beautiful that he was a gift too.

I am sure that the nurses would love if you took him to hospital with you. And I am sure the kitty I am sending to you would love it too.

Sending much love to at Christmas Camilla.

Take good care of yourself.

Dot (and the kitties ) xoxo

Sometimes you just get lucky! This is one of those times... And OMG, what a fun chuckle I got with your KG pictures... There is nothing I can think of (in the whole universe) that brings more joy and laughter than a kitten. You (and he and apparently Frenchy too) are blessed!!!

Love, Robin

Hi Camilla,

Thank you for visiting my blog. I had hoped to swing by sooner but have been trying to get over a sinus, sore throat, coughing-thing since Christmas. I haven't been sick for a couple years and it's the pits!

I'm so glad you started your blog...congratulations! I, too, started less than a year ago and have faced the learning curve. I promise you...it gets easier.

I enjoyed going back to the beginning of your blog and reading your posts. Your dolls are amazing and your posts about them are wonderful. Your dolls and posts certainly show your heart and soul...creativity and talent.

My favorites are definitely your Owl Doll and Keeper of the Keys...wow, just stunning...but I adore the others too and the thoughts behind them all! They are all so unique and certainly have your heart written all over them.

King George is so handsome and he most definitely crossed your path for a reason. I'm sure he and Frenchy are so happy to be with you! I love the pictures you took of him...especially in the spirit house and antique boat.

I'm so glad you met and found Dot and received one of her kitties...they are darling. She is a 'Sweetheart' and her heart art is just lovely. She makes beautiful pieces and you can certainly feel the LOVE...you will adore her! ~wink~

I hope your surgery will help you feel better and I wish you a very quick recovery. I lived with ovarian cysts too and know the pain.

Your art and blog are very inspiring. I look forward to following your posts!

Wishing you a Happy New Year full of joy, health, and creativity...~Lisa ;-)
